Sterling soAKs vision/mission is also for toxin avoidance. The main active ingredient in most bug sprays, DEET (N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide) causes adverse effects such as manic psychosis, seizures, and cardiovascular changes.

This formula contains an oil blend: peppermint, eucalyptus, lemon, lemongrass, patchouli, tea tree, 70 % alcohol, witch hazel, & aloe (5 oz.).

Avoiding DEET doesn’t mean avoiding bug spray. Bugs simply do not like a select variety of plants, and you can use this to your advantage with a few targeted essential oils. Ticks, for example, have specific distastes to oils like tea tree, geranium, and eucalyptus are even lethal to the insect.

Tips for Use:

  • Shake the bug spray before use
  • Test a small area of skin
  • Avoid spraying in the eye area
  • Avoid touching eyes and mouth if you have bug spray on your fingers
  • For young kids under 2, use the formula for children
  • Apply as often as you need it & share with others
